THE COMPACT MODEL
Each of our pilot scale coating machines can be used for the manufacturing of products for the pharmaceutical, the cosmetic or food industry. Regardless, if you want to produce patches, oral dissolvable film strips, mucoadhesives, facial masks or any other coating, our pilot scale coating machines always work reliable to achieve coatings with high accuracies. even complex products such as multi-layer patches or coatings, which have to meet close limits regarding its residual solvent levels can be produced with our laboratory machines.
The compact model owns like the model MBCD 1.3-2.2 two equally long dryer zones. However, the two dryer zones are arranged in a u-shaped manner, which makes this machine compact in length as the basic model but without losing productivity. Like this, products can be produced for which in the second drying zone the residual solvents has to be gently reduced down to the required ppm by the FDA. This is an interesting feature especially for patch products.
The compact model consists of:
- Unwinder: to unwind the carrier foil in a continuous way
- Ultra-precise tooth gear pump: for dosing precisely the coating fluid
- Optimags patented coating system: to coat in a very precise and accurate way; suitable for thin and thick coatings
- Two drying zones, arranged u-shaped:
- drying zone 1: is 800mm long; temperature is individually controlled by a temperature controller;
- drying zone 2: is 800 mm long; temperature is individually controlled by a temperature controller;
Drying zone can be delivered in two types:
- Standard type: max. temperature T = 105°C
- Optional: max. temperature T = 120°C
- Rewinder: to rewind coating/ laminate
- Laptop: software to document the batch production and machine parameters installed
